Well, I did it again. I found a deal on a car that I couldn’t pass up, so I didn’t. It’s a ‘95 S350 TD that smokes like the freight train that it is, but the price was right. Going to be doing a compression test and pulling the turbo tonight. No oil in the coolant, or oil in the oil, as it’s all in the air or on the ground. Any other ideas as to what it might be? Ozone hating Mercedes for your time.
Is the work day over with yet?

I was driving the car, buddy was filming. He cut it there to jump on the trailer and guide me on. I backed up and straightened her out.

Ovalled cylinders? From what I’ve heard (past reading of Wikipedia), the 3.5 likes to do that.

Hmm, I’ll have to keep that in mind. The only other catastrophic failure that I read about was rods bending due to the crazy high compression ratios on these things. Thanks for the heads up!
